Savej’s full album is coming out on Gravitas Recordings September 29th and is a multi-cultural blend of ancient future and world bass. This genre-bending journey pays homage to various cultures who have influenced Savej and celebrates their history through a new idea of music. This album digs deep into the ancient idea of music and is packed full of influences and collaborations with SOOHAN, Liquid Bloom, Lil Fish, Johnny Buffalo and Ronnā Yawa. The last ‘Wacomaya’ single is donating 100% of proceeds to the non-profit (Futuro Nativo) to support the solar project aimed at acquiring solar panels for Ronnã’s village in the Brazilian Amazon.
Savej’s album uplifts cultures like this through music, and he created a beautiful exploration through different ideas and many ancient traditions under one cohesive journey.

“For this album, each track dives into a different cultural vocal context while maintaining a unified musical thread. Each culture whose vocals/chants were used has a longstanding spiritual or shamanic tradition, many of which seem to have a common point of origin deep in prehistory. As usual with my music, the intention is to highlight the melting pot that is Earth, pay homage to various cultures who have paved the way for truth seekers, and to create a sense of celebratory unity as we collectively drop into dance to move these sonic messages through our bodies and remember our deepest essence through groove and bass.” – Savej

‘Entheom’ opens the album with beautiful strings and a soundscape filled with nature and distant percussion. It drops into heavy 808 bass and Hindi chants with the signature Savej sound we have grown so fond of. ‘Pulse’ with Johnny Buffalo continues the classic Savej sound but brings in a heavier bass that blends sound design and beatboxing. A truly unique style of bass that really perked out ears and left us wanting more! ‘Yarnana’ opens with organic textures and ethnic instruments, immediately transporting us into the distinct Savej sound bending through cultures and ancient sounds. An epic build into a heavy sub bass and female Albanian chants, perfectly blending the Savej sound with Lil Fish’s epic horns and chords. ‘Ani Couni’ with SOOHAN & Sirenitas de la Selva brings down the energy and opens with a beautiful chilled atmosphere and Native American (Arapaho) vocals. A slower groove and drum pattern kick in while never taking away from the original downtempo soundscape, and makes an epic meditative beat guaranteed to get you in a flow state. ‘Bahyay’ brings the tempo back up slowly with an epic build with Quechua vocal chants and high energy percussion. The drop brings in iconic Savej vocal chops and a faster trappy beat that is impossible not to move to. ‘Wacomaya’ with Liquid Bloom & Ronnā Yawa closes the album with a recreation of a traditional Yawanawa medicine song originating in the Brazilian Amazon. Savej recorded the vocals with Ronnā Yawa and was entrusted to create and Ancient Future rendition of their sacred celebration and song.
