Loud Pipes, out August 15th on Gravitas Recordings, truly shows off High Step Society’s talent and capability to flawlessly merge genres and styles. The cover of Ratatat’s “Loud Pipes” is a horn-driven romp through the tune’s iconic melodies, but flipped on their head with the guitars replaced by trombone and clarinet. This cover is an instant anthem and brings back nostalgia to almost anyone with this iconic original.  High Step Society brought their electro-swing style to this track and added the perfect amount of spice without taking away from the original. The group just smashed their Lighting in a Bottle performance and has so much more on the way, we are excited to share this journey!

Loud Pipes opens with the iconic riff but recreated with live horns, trombone, and clarinet.  The breakdown adds a powerful kick drum and showcases a beautiful brass solo following the original melody with an electro-swing feel.  This track is one of those you will have on repeat without ever getting old, and this new modern production really adds the punch to stick it in your head even more.
