Josh Teed returns to Gravitas Recordings on October 3rd with his next full album “The Tides of Change” featuring an extremely talented cast of producers and a full cinematic journey from start to finish. This 9-track adventure is what we look for these days with a full album, offering different tastes of the artist’s style while staying cohesive and telling a story. Josh Teed’s orchestral live elements and classical music training bring a whole different side to his electronic music production, and this album lives up to the tale by incorporating all the sounds of his past while venturing into new territories and sounds.
“The Tides of Change is a meshing of all of the musical influences I’ve been lucky enough to have in my life, from classical to celtic, and everything in between, all tied together by electronic production. Each track of the album correlates to a chapter of the book I’ve written to go along with it, with the intention of fully immersing the listener/reader in the story. From dubstep, to halftime, to future bass, The Tides of Change has it all.” – Josh Teed
Josh’s full book along with the album is such an amazing way to showcase this mystical adventure and once you listen through the album you’ll understand how much emotion and musical talent flowed into this piece of art. The first single ‘Gates of Algiden’ is the perfect glimpse into the mystical journey, opening with an epic build showcasing his live violin and classical music writing. “Gates of Algiden brings orchestral composition face to face with hip hop beat structure, and dubstep sound design, for an exhilarating ride through centuries of musical influence.” – Josh Teed
The second single ‘Places Long Forgotten’ features Chmura & Mfinity with Blvck Svm on the vocals for a lush journey through downtempo sounds and deep grooves. This one will truly put you in a trance, and really stands on its own outside the album journey in a beautiful way. Truly a special track here, this track had to have its own moment before we dive into the full album.
