Rendr is back on Gravitas Recordings July 26th with his ‘Alien Overload’ EP full of technical sound design and mysterious twists. This full 5-track EP follows his recent remix for Josh Teed on Gravitas, and is a dive into the fresh new artist project. Rendr launched in 2023 as a free form bass project with all original sound design and a dedication to creativity at its core, immediately capturing the ears of many with a huge debut album. His top-tier sound design and experimentation makes for a very versatile journey through his sound while staying cohesive; from bouncy glitch-hop, dirty mid-tempo, lush melodies and heavy basslines, Rendr takes the listener on a ride through everything and anything in bass. We can’t wait to hear more from this very talented artist and watch the journey of this new beginning unfold.
“So hyped to be working with Gravitas once again! These are some of my favorite tunes I’ve ever made and I’ve been playing them out a ton over the last year!” – Rendr
‘Combo Jack’ opens the EP with distant drums echoing through the speakers, quickly dropping into an epic drop of heavy growling bass and catchy vocal chops. ‘RICHANDSAD’ brings down the energy for a melodic intro full of lush synths and glitchy effects, slowly building tension and dropping into a mid-tempo drop with heavy pumping bass over the melodies. ‘Alien Overload’ makes another epic intro building into a bouncy glitch-hop beat with insane sound design and ear candy to fill the whole spectrum. ‘Beat Like This’ builds with epic breakbeat chopping and glitchy effects, abruptly dropping into some of the craziest sound design that will melt you away. ‘3BC’ closes the EP with a mysterious mid tempo track filled with massive bass, scratching effects, glitchy ear candy and growling sound design to tie his sound together in one. Rendr’s has done it again with this EP, and his sound shines through with his original sound design bringing all the different ideas together.
“I just sit down with no expectations and make sounds, immediately doing anything that comes into my head and then after a few hours, I have tracks that are finished.” – Rendr
